Paul has been calling traditional squares, reels, and big circle dances since 2002. He has called at Pick-A-Thon roots music festival, the Portland Old Time Music Gathering, and Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music as well as at grange halls, community centers, and other venues across the Northwest. Paul calls to live string band accompaniment, and has worked with Foghorn Stringband, the Tallboys, the Flat Mountain Girls, Squirrelly Stringband and many more.

Paul Calls a Dance
Paul focuses on clearly but concisely teaching each new figure before it's done, making for a dance program that is fun, lively, and comfortable for dancers of any experience level. Paul has experience calling for:
  • Public events / block parties / corporate events
  • Weddings and birthday parties
  • School groups from elementary to high-school. Some of these programs have included historical information about square dancing!
